However, by leveraging tools like Monday.com and AI capabilities, we can simplify this process significantly. In this article, we will guide you through creating a Next.js app that integrates with Monday.com’s Incoming Bugs board, automatically suggesting fixes for bugs based on their descriptions.
What is Monday.com?
Monday.com is a powerful work management platform accessible on both web and mobile. Setting Up Your Monday.com App

- Click on the blue button on the left panel to add a new item to your workspace.
- Select Choose from template and choose the Product Development template.
- After the template is added, navigate to Incoming Bugs and add a new column titled Suggestions.

Installation Process

Go back to your Monday.com developer app and configure a new feature:
- Select Dashboard Widgets and choose Start from scratch.
- Name your feature Debug Widget and paste your ngrok URL in the Widget Setup tab.
Make sure to publish your app by navigating to the app's dashboard and clicking on App Versions.
Developing the Debug Assistant App
Now that your app is connected, let’s write the essential code for our Debug Assistant:
- Open the original boilerplate file, copy its contents into a new file named
debug-assistant.tsx
. - Adjust the component function name accordingly.
- Add the required Dropdown components for board and column selection.
