As O'Neil prepares for the next chapter, he faces the daunting task of replacing key players who have departed the club. Max Kilman’s move to West Ham and Pedro Neto’s transfer to Chelsea for a combined total of £97 million have created a substantial gap in the squad.

"Those guys, we need to replace them,” O'Neil stated during an interview with Sky Sports. "They are a huge part of what we were. Max played every minute, and Pedro was integral to many of our goals and big results. We are working incredibly hard on trying to replace them.”

A New Recruitment Strategy

Wolves is clearly in a phase of strategic recruitment, focusing on signing young talent at relatively low costs. This approach has proven beneficial in the past with players like Neto, Diogo Jota, Ruben Neves, and Kilman rising through the ranks.
